Steve Hayes has performed his characters around the country and has been a regular in the New York nightclub and cabaret scene for over ten years. He is the recipient of the Backstage Bistro Award for comedy and a nine-time nominee and three-time winner of the Manhattan Association of Cabaret and Clubs Award for Outstanding Comedian and Characterization. He starred in the ABC pilot "The Maintenance Men's Lounge" and is the author and co-lyricist of the musical "Kiss Me Quick Before the Lava Reaches the Village" with Peter Eckstrom and co-lyricist of "Girl of My Dreams" with Eckstrom and David Deboy. Hayes recently finished a successful run of his latest comedy act with Tom Cayler at Eighty Eight's which was partly financed with a grant from the New York State Council for the Arts.
